Core Church is a place for junior high and high school students to get together and experience life change through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Mission
To equip students to live out authentic christianity and have an irreversible influence on culture.
Our desire is to create an environment where young people can not only build healthy, strong and meaningful relationships, but most importantly be filled with the Holy Spirit, receive salvation and experience the presence of God.
God has a unique purpose for each of us and we want to help the youth of northwest Houston live out their purpose and bring glory to God.
Things We Do
Wednesday Night Core Church
Every Wednesday,we spend time together in worship to give God the glory he deserves and to remind ourselves of how great he really is. It is also a method we use to build a passionate and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.
Generally Pastor Mike will share a word to guide direct and help us grow into a more knowledgeable and loving relationship with God. Throughout the year we have sermon series that deal with issues our teenagers are dealing with such as, relationships, depression and forgiveness.
We realize that at times our students have things to say as well. On occasion we have “Open Mic Night” where students have the chance to tell their peers what God is teaching them or what God is doing for them.
Home Groups
Home Groups provide a small group setting for students to build relationships, discuss relevant life-issues, and experience discipleship and accountability. Home Groups are lead with a combination of adult leaders and student leaders strategically placed together to effectively lead a group.
Core Teams
Core teams is our annual, month-long competition, designed to give out students the chance to evangelize to their friends and at their schools. This hard-core contest features dance-offs, community projects and a whole lot of face-paint
Youth Pastor
Mike Reiszner is the pastor of student ministries & Core Church at Willowbrook Church in northwest Houston and has served in the ministry for the past 14 years.
