Flipside Kids

Flipside is for kids that have graduated Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Flipside isn’t just a place to go while parents go to church.  Flipside is a fun place for kids where ministry happens!

Every week at Flipside we turn the Bible upside down, inside out, and flip it over; to put it in perspective for kids to understand.  We get real with our kids and teach on their level.

We implement media, games, object lessons, Bible stories and fun group-building exercises.  Kids won’t leave church the same once they’ve experienced it Flipside style!

Parents,we believe in order to have the best experience possible, there are a few things we would like you to know before bringing your child to Flipside for the first time.  We know the more you are informed about Flipside, the more you (and your kids) will enjoy it!  So, know this…

  1. Sometimes it gets loud
  2. Sometimes it gets messy
  3. ALL the time we have fun!

Your kids are encouraged to be themselves.  When we have games, we want them to yell for their team and be excited.  If your child wants to participate in a game and is chosen to, he/she may get messy!  We do our best to cover up kid’s clothes…but sometimes we just can’t help the mess that happens!  We are happy for kids to wear their “Sunday Best” but if they want to participate in the games, it’s probably best for them to go more casual.

CHECK-IN and PICK UP Procedures for Sunday Services

Flipside begins at the same time as the services in our sanctuary; at 9:30 and 11:00am. You can check your child in 15 minutes before service begins and we ask that you pick up your child within 10 minutes of service ending.

  1. Check in for Flipsideis inside the foyer of The Core.
  2. When you check in your child you will receive 2 stickers; please keep the smaller sticker and place the larger sticker on your child’s back.
    • If there is an issue with your child or if you child becomes ill, we will post the number from your child’s sticker on the screens in the sanctuary.  If you see your child’s number posted on the screen, please report immediately to your child’s classroom for assistance.
  3. After this, you will walk your child upstairs to his/her classroom.
  4. When church is over you will return to the same room to pick up your child.
    • Please give the teacher the smaller sticker so we are assured that your child is going home with the right person!
CHECK-IN and PICK UP Procedures for our midweek services
Flipside begins at the same time as the midweek adult and teen services; 7:00pm. ** You can check your child in 15 minutes before service begins and we ask that you pick up your child no later than 8:40.  Check in for Jumpstart, on Wednesdays, is located at the Welcome Center in the main building.

We use the same procedure for CHECK-IN AND PICK-UP as listed above.

Safety First

All of our volunteers have been trained to work with kids and are excited about being a part of a ministry where life change happens, kid-style!  We make sure everyone who is a part of this ministry has gone through a background check so our kids are safe while in our care.
