Greater Things
Willowbrook began thirty-one years ago when a handful of people met together with one mission, to reach Northwest Houston and the surrounding community with the love of Jesus. Our church was built by men and women who were willing to step out in faith and trust God. They didn’t sit back and try to figure out if they could pay for it. They weren’t swayed by public opinion. They didn’t say, “Not now.” They simply saw a need and trusted God for “Greater Things”.
The “Greater Things” campaign is based on the conviction that although we have seen great blessing and growth in the last couple of years, it is just the beginning. Current statistics state that Northwest Houston will continue to experience record growth over the next few decades. These new people, along with the many others who are already living here, will need a church. Willowbrook Church is committed to making room for everyone who needs a church home. When we listen to and obey the Holy Spirit, we can expect to reach thousands of people with the good news of Christ and welcome them into our church family.
Over the course of the “Greater Things” campaign, you are going to hear testimonies from church friends who have applied scriptural principles of Christian stewardship. However, each has discovered an important truth along the way, the same truth our predecessors learned: Sacrificial giving involves taking a step of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Through our obedience, God will continue to impact lives, bringing spiritual change to Northwest Houston and preparing us for the harvest. I am excited about what is going to happen in the hearts of people as we begin to experience “Greater Things” in every area of our lives.
